Thinking, Learning and Action for Global Citizenship
  • What We Do

We are a not-for-profit company that offers training and support for schools, youth organisations, businesses, public authorities and other organisations.

    We Help People To:

    • Understand the meaning of equality and fairness
    • Not offend unwittingly in using language or imagery
    • Tackle discrimination
    • Understand local and global issues
    • Act sustainably
  • What is Global Citizenship?

Global Citizenship is an approach to education that promotes understanding of how we can think and act fairly, sustainably and peacefully in our diverse and interconnected world.

We (after Oxfam, 1997) see this as comprising five strands:

    • Globalisation and Interdependence
    • Environment
    • Social Justice and Equality
    • Diversity and Identity
    • Peace and Conflict
  • Some Questions

    • If you throw something away, where is away?
    • Should the lives of strangers matter to us?
    • What does equality look like?
    • Why is there global injustice?
    • Can you live ethically and still have fun?
    • How far should societies accommodate diversity?
    • How can we disagree peacefully?
    • Should rivers have legal rights?
